It looks like Sony began bringing its network back up which is nice. I'm curious to hear how all this downtime has affected them and what kind of losses they are looking at. Either way it's great to see all current and former Planetside players getting 45 days of free play time as a part of Sony's Welcome Back Program. I'm expecting to see a lot of old familiar faces logging in soon. It looks like Sony did something right by hooking up their subscribers of past and current games. I'm not sure how things look on the PS3 end, but on PC I'd say they've done alright.
That sounds fair. Always nice when a company takes good care of their users.
ReplyDelete:D
ReplyDeleteI read today that they had increased profits of something like 15% in April, sorry I can't remember the source!
ReplyDeleteThey will rebound in a huge way from this.
ReplyDeletenothing can kill Sony, that's for sure
ReplyDeleteWell that was a doosy
ReplyDelete2 of my friends have bought an xbox
ReplyDeleteyay! freakin a it was about time.
ReplyDeletesony is god
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Sony is making reparations. They need to be good to their customers and retain their loyalty!
ReplyDeletewhat would be the world without sony...? :)
ReplyDeleteyay guys 1 free month pays up to my bank information lost to some gangsters...
ReplyDeleteI heard they lost a lot of stock value, they dun goof'd hard.
ReplyDeletewell at least they do something to 'repay' the users and more than 1 month would just destroy their economical strength as they already lost a lot of stock value as ramrod already said.
ReplyDeleteI heard about this. Glad they did this.
ReplyDelete+following!
45 days? Very obliging. Btw you do listen to ICP don't you? ;)
ReplyDeleteActually no, I'm not an ICP fan. :)
ReplyDeletePsychedelic Clown Posse (PcP) is a clan I belong to. However we do borrow a lot of their mentality and even call non clan members that hang with us groupies. It's a tight nit group much like ICP's followers.
I still can't believe it was down for so long. Thank you universe for other channels of online gaming.
ReplyDeleteIt just goes to show how vulnerable these networks are. Sony only has themselves to blame.
ReplyDeleteI HEARD THAT IT GOT HACKED AGAIN?
ReplyDeleteThat whole event made me glad that I haven't bought a PS3 yet. I plan on it (eventually << ), but hopefully they've tightened security up by the time I do.
ReplyDeleteThey can't even make a good security for those sony users.
ReplyDeleteI hate Sony, POS
ReplyDeleteStill want my free stuff on 24th of may! :D
ReplyDeleteSony must do something for this security issue.
ReplyDeletesony suchs at security issues
ReplyDeleteThey better be giving out some free things. I am glad they also give out free games.
ReplyDeleteyeah they had too because it's a shame that our datas were not protected enough!
ReplyDeleteNever had that problem with X-Box Live! Worth every penny! =P

ReplyDeleteTotally awesome, I'm gonna hop on right now! +follower, http://cryptozen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNice blog man, hope to stay posted, totally gonig to follow.
ReplyDeleteAlso I didn't mind the "extended" amount of time this took for the PSN to go back up, as long as they bring up the network to strength to stop this happening again is better than just opening the network again.
nice post, interesting blog, I following and went on your advertisement
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show that if a company messes up, they'll need to make it up some way or another. I'll follow you as well.
